Role Overview: As a Product Specialist - Builder Team, you will build, maintain, and support projects that extend the Databricks platform to democratize data and AI use cases. You will work on advancing the roadmap for key projects, evaluate partner solutions, and support infrastructure to maintain Databricks Labs. The ideal candidate will have strong customer empathy, product focus, and a data-driven mindset, working with partners, customers, and internal teams to evolve tooling solutions. You will report to Guenia Izquierdo, Product Specialist Leader - Builder Team.

The Impact You Will Have:

• Build, debug, and extend infrastructure components of the Databricks Labs ecosystem.
• Author technical documentation, reference architectures, and internal guides.
• Establish engineering best practices, coding standards, and reusable patterns.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and drive projects.
• Evaluate and adopt new technologies relevant to Labs and automation tooling.

What We Look For:

• Experience with a multi-year vision and incremental deliverables.
• 10+ years of production experience in Terraform, Scala, Go, Apache Spark, Java, Python; experience with a compiled language is required.
• Passion for scalable, reliable software and defensive programming.
• Customer impact-driven motivation.
• BS/MS/PhD in a related field or equivalent practical experience.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to produce clear technical documentation.

Pay Range Transparency: The salary range for this role is $228,800—$350,800 USD, depending on location and experience. Compensation may include bonuses, equity, and benefits. Details vary by region.
