Job summary

Family of Kidz is seeking a Special Educator for an 8:1:2 classroom on a leave replacement basis in Rye, NY. The role involves leading instruction, developing individualized plans, and ensuring progress toward IEP goals.

Follows the school calendar with hours M-F 8:30-3:00; compensation ranges by service and experience, from $50 to $80 per hour. Fee-for-service structure may vary and will be discussed at interview.

Qualifications

• NYS Certification SWD (1-6, all grades or Permanent) required or preferred.
• Experience supporting children and families in educational settings.
• Bilingual is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead Special Education Teacher in an 8:1:2 classroom during the leave replacement.
• Develop and implement IEP-driven, differentiated, multisensory instruction.
• Maintain lesson plans, schedules, and data to track progress.
• Collaborate with service providers, families, and staff to support student growth.
• Attend CSE meetings and complete required district documentation.
