Job summary

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Special Education Teacher or relevant role.
• Knowledge of current special education topics and methodologies.
• Experience developing IEPs.
• Patient, resourceful and resilient personality.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement academic and clinical IEP goals through ongoing assessment.
• Apply developmentally appropriate classroom structures and routines.
• Develop and implement an integrated curriculum with colleagues across disciplines.
• Assess student abilities and craft teaching plans and daily lessons.
• Manage behavior and maintain student records in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with parents and other staff to support student needs.
