Job summary

Lauren’s Institute for Education in Gilbert, AZ seeks a Lead Teacher to empower learners with developmental disabilities through multisensory instruction and individualized plans. You will coordinate with therapists, manage classroom fidelity, and mentor Para staff while maintaining comprehensive student records.

The role requires a degree in education or related field, certification, CPR/First Aid, and at least 3 months of child experience.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Degree in education or related field.
• Level One Fingerprint Clearence Card and disclosure statement.
• Provide three (3) references.
• Current CPR and First aid certification.
• Proof of training in A.A.C. Title 6, Chapter 6, Article 9.
• No less than 3 months experience with children.
• Evidence of completion of LIFE orientation/training program.

Responsibilities

• Instruct students using eclectic approaches and multisensory learning.
• Establish long-range objectives and strategies to achieve them.
• Modify curriculum for special-needs students using diverse techniques.
• Meet with parents to discuss progress and priorities.
• Maintain accurate student records.
• Lead Para staff and ensure payroll/billing policies are followed.
• Collaborate with treatment team to support students.
