The Lead Sterile Processing Department (SPD) Technician provides leadership and oversight to SPD staff while ensuring the safe inspection, decontamination, preparation, sterilization, storage, and distribution of medical and surgical instruments and supplies in compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and Nemours policies. This role supports operations across Nemours Ambulatory Surgery Facilities in Delaware, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey, requiring maintenance of all applicable state and federal clearances and periodic travel between locations as needed. The position combines clinical and operational responsibilities, with approximately 50% of time dedicated to hands-on sterile processing functions and 50% to administrative, leadership, and departmental oversight duties to support high-quality patient care and operational excellence.
