Job summary

Quantum Space is seeking a Senior Spacecraft Thermal Engineer to lead thermal design, modeling, and verification for our spacecraft platforms. You will own the thermal architecture, drive high-fidelity models, and work with a fast-moving team to ensure flight readiness.

This role requires 7+ years in spacecraft thermal engineering, expertise with Thermal Desktop or SINDA/FLUINT, and hands-on testing experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• 7+ years of relevant thermal engineering experience, spaceflight preferred.
• Advanced proficiency with thermal analysis tools and flight hardware experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of high-fidelity thermal models to predict on-orbit performance.
• Own spacecraft-level thermal architecture, including active and passive control.
• Correlate models with test data and vendor documentation.
• Mentor junior engineers and establish modeling best practices.
• Support TVAC testing planning, execution, and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to meet requirements.
