Job summary

Apex Technology, Inc. is seeking a Senior Spacecraft Manufacturing Engineer to join our Playa Vista, CA team. You will oversee manufacturing and test processes, ensuring seamless integration of spacecraft components and systems to meet stringent performance requirements.

You will collaborate with design and production teams to optimize manufacturability, develop assembly procedures, and implement quality control measures while driving continuous improvement and cost reduction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in aerospace manufacturing, assembly, and integration.
• Experience with manufacturing tools and software (CAD/CAM, PLM, ERP).
• Experience with electrical/functional testing of components or full spacecraft.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specs.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop manufacturing plans and strategies.
• Design, optimize, and implement assembly and integration procedures, work instructions, and fixtures.
• Lead transition of products from development to production and ramp-up.
• Review product designs for manufacturability with design engineers.
• Develop and implement QC measures including inspection criteria and test plans.
• Support manufacturing, troubleshoot issues, and drive corrective actions.
• Conduct root-cause analyses and drive continuous improvement.
• Ensure safety compliance across manufacturing and integration processes.
