Job summary

General Atomics Electromagnetic Systems (GA-EMS) designs, builds, and tests advanced EO/IR space payloads for next‑generation remote-sensing systems. You’ll join a multidisciplinary team tackling technically challenging problems with a collaborative, hands-on approach that rewards innovation, rigor, and accountability.

You will lead system-level Assembly, Integration & Test activities for complex electro-optical space payloads, owning AI&T strategy, coordinating across engineering disciplines,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering or related technical field; 12+ yrs with BS, 10+ with MS, or 7+ with PhD
• Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Security Clearance
• Experience independently leading integration or test activities for complex multidisciplinary systems
• Experience developing and executing system-level integration and test plans
• Strong understanding of requirements verification and their relation to test artifacts and closure
• Ability to troubleshoot cross-disciplinary problems and assess readiness for high-value tests

Responsibilities

• Lead system-level Assembly, Integration & Test activities for complex electro-optical space payloads
• Develop and execute AI&T strategy, including test flow, verification, qualification, acceptance, and regression testing
• Serve as day-to-day technical lead for AI&T activities across engineering disciplines
• Define test readiness criteria and provide go/no-go recommendations
• Lead Test Readiness Reviews and support MRRs, PSRs, and customer reviews
• Develop and maintain system-level test plans, procedures, configurations, and reports
• Coordinate dependencies among hardware, software, facilities, and test execution
• Coordinate root-cause investigations and retest strategies
