CesiumAstro is seeking a Senior Staff Component Engineer to lead EEE parts selection, qualification, and failure analysis for satellite and space hardware. You will collaborate with design, reliability, and quality teams to drive robust component strategies.

The role emphasizes technical leadership, supplier evaluation, and process improvements across a growing, fast-paced environment in the aerospace sector.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 12 years of relevant experience as a component engineer.
• Knowledge of component selection, qualification, screening and derating for military and aerospace.
• Experience with parts plans, part objects, and part attributes in a PLM system.

Responsibilities

• Define testing and qualification requirements for EEE parts with customers.
• Lead high-reliability EEE parts selection, qualification, and verification.
• Develop component roadmap and balance cost and schedule with design team.
