Varda Space Industries, Inc. is hiring a Principal Space Avionics Hardware Engineer to architect and design flight-critical electrical hardware for satellite buses, reentry vehicles, and payloads.

You will define subsystem requirements, ensure hardware meets spec, and support mission operations with risk assessments. The role emphasizes hands-on PCB design, lab testing, and collaboration with flight software, thermal, GNC, and structures teams to optimize performance in extreme space

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related engineering discipline.
• 8+ years designing electronics hardware for aerospace/high-reliability industries.
• 3+ years on hardware for space applications.
• Experience owning architecture and implementation of complex electronics systems.

Responsabilités

• PCB level electronics design from schematic to testing.
• Contribute to avionics architecture and system design for next-gen vehicles.
• Define standards and procedures for electrical engineering practices.
• Translate mission objectives into subsystem requirements and milestones.
• Act as avionics SME for satellite, reentry vehicle, and payload hardware.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess system impacts of design decisions.
