Job Description

The Lead Spa Attendant is responsible for providing an excellent experience in a spa setting for all guests.

The Lead Spa Attendant:

  • Creates a positive atmosphere.
  • Ensures the highest quality of guest services to drive satisfaction.
  • Greets guests, assists with check-in, and offers facility tours if needed.
  • Maintains cleanliness and presentation of locker rooms and restrooms.
  • Folds, stocks, and refreshes linens as needed.
  • Performs general upkeep of all facility areas.
  • Follows health, safety, and operational policies and procedures.
  • Provides superior guest service, handles difficult guests professionally, and works harmoniously with team members.
  • Acts as Manager on Duty during business hours, exercising good judgment and mentoring staff.
  • Provides guests with amenities and instructions on exercise and locker room use.
  • Monitors appointments and provides accurate spa information to guests.
  • Handles transactions such as voids, returns, and exchanges.
  • Maintains cleanliness and organization of work areas and ensures supplies are stocked and priced correctly.
  • Manages cash bank, processes sales, and distributes gratuities properly.
  • Trains attendants, assists with inventory, scheduling, and appointment booking, and provides performance feedback.
  • Promotes and sells retail products with knowledge of offerings.
  • Assists with other spa functions as needed.

Qualifications

  • Experience in customer service, hospitality, or spa industry.
  • Knowledge of industry standards with strong customer engagement skills.
  • Effective communication skills with customers and staff.
  • Ability to distinguish currency denominations and handle cash transactions.
  • Ability to review documentation and inspect facilities.
  • Proficiency with equipment, including exercise and spa facilities, computer, and cash register.
  • Physical ability to assist guests, lift up to 60 pounds, and push/pull 100 pounds.
  • Ability to work in varying environmental conditions and adhere to safety protocols.
  • Quick thinking in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
  • Excellent guest service, communication, multitasking, and prioritization skills.
  • Computer skills and multi-line phone experience preferred.
  • Must obtain and maintain necessary licenses/certifications per regulations.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.

Skills are typically acquired through certification, on-the-job training, or education.
