Water Grill in Southern California seeks a Sous Chef to lead the kitchen as a senior member of the management team. You will partner with the Executive Chef, oversee ordering, troubleshooting variances, and staff development to uphold quality, consistency, and hospitality.

You will be trained in financial acumen, daily operations, and leadership, with a clear path toward higher leadership levels. The role requires standards-driven professionalism and strong guest relations.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• 2 years experience as cook supervisor/sous/kitchen manager.
• High school graduate with formal culinary training.
• Ability to analyze and participate in financial planning.

Responsibilities

• Open and close duties for daily setup.
• Create prep lists for kitchen staff.
• Support preparation of all items for service.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of station.
• Identify deficiencies and safety hazards to Chef.
• Develop kitchen crew and promote cross-training.
• Lead menu rollouts and recipe changes.
• Support corrective action plans for kitchen.
