Job summary

Spectrum Retirement Communities, LLC is seeking a full-time Sous Chef to lead daily kitchen operations and ensure top quality plating for our dining program.

You will hire and train Line Cooks and Dishwashers, manage food orders and budgets, and uphold safety and sanitation standards under the Director of F&B. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have leadership experience or ability to lead a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required.
• Experience in a kitchen or food service environment.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and stay organized.
• Must hold or obtain a Manager’s Food Handlers permit.

Responsibilities

• Hires and trains Line Cooks and Dishwashers under the Director of F&B.
• Places food and supply orders.
• Completes and documents safety audits and monthly in-service trainings.
• Ensures correct plate presentation prior to dishes leaving the kitchen.
• Overseas kitchen labor and food cost; monitors budget.
• Prepares high quality food.
