Job summary

Goodwin Recruiting is partnering with an award-winning polished casual restaurant group in North Phoenix, AZ to identify an exceptional Sous Chef. Lead the kitchen from the front, coach teams, and deliver outstanding food quality in a fast-paced scratch kitchen.

Partner with the Executive Chef on daily BOH operations and future advancement to Executive Chef. The role offers base salary 65,000–70,000 with uncapped profit-sharing and 7,000–12,000+ bonus potential, plus benefits and career growth

Qualifications

• Two or more years of culinary management experience in a high-volume, full-service restaurant.
• Scratch kitchen experience required.
• Hands-on butchering experience required.
• Experience working within corporate restaurant systems.
• Experience in restaurants generating $4M+ in annual sales preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee back-of-house operations with the Executive Chef.
• Lead daily food production and ensure recipe execution.
• Coach and develop hourly kitchen staff.
• Maintain food quality, sanitation, and safety standards.
• Assist with scheduling, inventory, purchasing, and vendor relations.
• Help manage food and labor costs and overall kitchen productivity.
• Participate in hiring, onboarding, and training of BOH team.
• Lead during the Executive Chef's absence and support restaurant leadership.
