Job summary

Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Healthcare company, is hiring a Sous Chef at UF Health Professional Park in Gainesville, FL. The role supports the Executive Chef, coordinates cooks and food-service staff, and ensures high-quality meals for patients and staff.

Requirements include an Associate's degree or equivalent in culinary arts or related training, 1–3 years of experience, supervisory experience preferred, and a Food Handler’s Permit or ServSafe certification.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent from culinary/technical school, or 1–3 years of related experience.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Food Handler’s Permit; ServSafe training and certificate as required.

Responsibilities

• Helps Executive Chef prepare and cook foods and coordinates activities of cooks and food-service associates.
• Assumes responsibility for kitchen operations in the absence of the Executive Chef.
• Ensures meals meet approved recipes, production standards and sanitation requirements.
