Job Description Summary

Manage the buying process for a specific set of goods across multiple suppliers. Apply sourcing policies, act as an interface between suppliers and the organization regarding specifications and budgets. Possess knowledge of best practices and understand how your area integrates with others; be aware of market competition and differentiating factors.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Place and follow up on Purchase Orders (POs).
  • Manage relationships with suppliers for PO execution.
  • Handle problems and schedule changes.
  • Maintain accurate ERP data.
  • Implement policies and strategies.
  • Serve as a resource for less experienced colleagues.
  • Lead small projects with low risks and resource needs.
  • Explain information and develop skills to reach team consensus on relevant topics.
  • Convey performance expectations and handle sensitive issues when necessary.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, or high school diploma/GED with at least 4 years of experience in sourcing, materials & planning, or related supply chain roles.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in administrative roles, sourcing, materials & planning, or relevant supply chain positions.
