Job Description Summary

Manage the buying process for a specific set of goods across several suppliers. Apply sourcing policies, act as an interface between suppliers and the entity regarding specifications and budgets. Possess knowledge of best practices and understand how your area integrates with others; be aware of market competition and differentiating factors.

Roles and Responsibilities
  1. Place and follow up on Purchase Orders (POs).
  2. Manage relationships with suppliers for PO execution.
  3. Handle problems and schedule changes.
  4. Maintain accurate ERP data.
  5. Execute sourcing policies and strategies.
  6. Serve as a resource for less experienced colleagues.
  7. Lead small projects with low risks and resource requirements.
  8. Explain information and develop skills within the team to reach consensus.
  9. Convey performance expectations and handle sensitive issues.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution OR a high school diploma/GED with at least 4 years of experience in sourcing, materials & planning, or relevant supply chain roles.
  • Minimum of 3 years in administrative, sourcing, materials & planning, or relevant supply chain roles.
