Job summary

Holy Cross Health Florida in Fort Lauderdale is seeking a Sonographer to deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging in a clinic setting. You will operate ultrasound equipment to generate images of multiple body parts and support interventional procedures.

ARDMS certification is required (Breast ARDMS if in Women's Center) along with BLS. Graduate from an approved ultrasound program and maintain PACS/RIS proficiency to ensure accurate exams and patient safety.

Qualifications

• ARDMS required.
• BLS certification is required.
• If working in the Women's Center Breast ARDMS certification is required.
• Graduate of an approved ultrasound school; ability to produce diagnostically acceptable examination.

Responsibilities

• General Sonographer; able to scan large and small parts.
• Performs diagnostic sonographic imaging and interventional procedures.
• Produces real time images of optimum quality with appropriate protocol for each exam.
• Knowledgeable in the use of PACS and RIS systems.
• Demonstrates knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy.
• Practices sterile technique and infection control guidelines.
• Room setup and patient preparation for imaging procedures.
• Acquire and analyze sonographic images.
• Perform office tests and administrative duties.
