Job description

Summary
Responsible to assist the manager with operational oversight, improvement of clinical operations, and staff supervision. Functions include training, mentoring, and evaluating clinical staff, overseeing coordination of clinical activities for students, coordination of patient care and flow, telephone triage, medical information management, and clinical support for the radiologist. Also performs the duties of a clinical staff member and serves as a role model and resource person for staff in the department. This position acts as a liaison between the clinical staff, managers, and the Radiologists.

Essential Functions
-Assist management with operational oversight, quality improvement, operational flow, performance measurement, and implementation of new practices
-Assist in providing guidance to staff, staff scheduling, triage duties, and is a resource to staff
-Oversees the coordination of clinical activities for students to ensure they are meeting core curriculum requirements
-Demonstrates positive customer service focus by delivering exemplary personal patient contact while executing advanced ultrasound clinical duties which may include echocardiogram, vascular, doppler, etc.
-Acts as a liaison between clinical staff, managers, and Radiologists

Education
Associate's Degree Diagnostic Imaging required or Associate's Degree Diagnostic Medical Sonographer required and Bachelor's Degree Health Sciences preferred
