Job summary

Kenco Logistics seeks an experienced Industrial Engineer to optimize warehousing operations and real estate planning. You will map processes, design layouts, plan space, and ensure IT/WMS alignment across projects.

Responsibilities include developing labor standards, pricing proposals, site visits, ROI analyses, and continuous improvement initiatives to support multi-site, semi-automated solutions in E-Commerce and traditional warehousing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering is required.
• Experience with CAD, Power BI, SketchUp and AI copilots.
• Strong Excel skills and data-driven decision making.

Responsibilities

• Create warehousing workflows and space layouts for receiving, picking, packing and shipping.
• Develop labor standards and align WMS with warehousing processes.
• Present pricing proposals and coordinate with Real Estate, IT and HR.
• Visit customer sites to gather information and ensure confidentiality.
• Conduct ROI analysis and operational audits.

Join a company where your contributions help move the world forward—one shipment at a time.FunctionsSelect the best methods to store the customers product safely and efficientlyEstimate the square feet needed for real estate to start a search for a building with the correct ceiling height.Industrial Engineering: process mapping, value stream mapping, process design, space planning and layout design (using CAD), index and scope creep measurement, and inventory & slotting assessments.Create warehousing workflows and process on how to receive, pick, pack and ship customer goods based on the requirementsBuild labor standards and align IT WMS to support warehousing workflows and processesSelect the appropriate material handling equipment to work with the solutionBased on solutions selected, price the solution in the pro forma. Utilize Kenco Pricing model to process data, and coordinate with Real Estate, IT and HR for additional pricing data.Understand cost structures (Cost +, FVR [Fixed-Variable-Reimbursable], Unit Rates), Operations (shift structures, seasonality, direct vs. indirect ratio, staffing and training, etc.), and basic financial concepts and company thresholds.Apply labor rates of job classes to the hours from the processes and the rates for the management team and coordinators/clerks that support the direct laborAcquire costs for the storage equipment, forklifts, IT hardware, building improvements, etc.Adjust the pricing to the customer template. Obtain client profile data from sales department.Support the sales team with a description of the process, innovations used in the solution, and continual revisions.Present pricing proposals to internal and external customers.
