Job summary

Cadence is seeking a Lead Solutions Engineer in San Jose, CA to support Palladium Cloud, resolve critical issues, and develop automation/AI tools to improve network services and scalability.

You will collaborate with engineering, product, and customer teams to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve production incidents while designing resilient compute architectures for scalable deployments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field.
• 3-5+ years in network engineering/architecture.
• Proven experience supporting and troubleshooting enterprise Linux environments across large-scale deployments.
• Expertise in Linux, AWS Cloud, LDAP, SSSD, PAM, Slurm, LSF, HPC, Root Cause Analysis, Infrastructure Management, Performance Tuning, Identity Management, Monitoring & Observability.
• Ability to collaborate with engineering, product, and customer teams to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve critical production incidents.

• Experience producing work breakdown structures and migration plans that minimize service disruption
• Strong analytical and diagnostic skills for resolving highly complex network/compute issues
• Hands‑on experience building lab simulations to test architecture designs and troubleshoot compatibility issues
• Experience driving cloud infrastructure initiatives, including deployment, migration, and operational best practices
• Experience with incident management, problem management, and continuous service improvement activities
• Excellent verbal/written/presentation and stakeholder communication skills
• Demonstrated leadership, creativity, and proactive problem‑solving mindset
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field with 4+ years of experience
• 3-5+ years of progressive network engineering and architecture experience in enterprise environments

Salary

Salary $114,800–$213,200; plus incentives and benefits.

The annual salary range for California is $114,800 to $213,200
