Job summary

AT&T is seeking a Lead Solution Train Engineer in Dallas, TX to guide Agile Release Trains and suppliers within the value stream. You will monitor solution health, coordinate with RTEs, and collaborate with Solution Management and Architecture to remove impediments and manage risks.

You’ll roll up team estimates for visibility and drive continuous improvement through Inspect & Adapt sessions. You will lead release planning, backlog grooming, and event coordination for the Solution Train, using

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
• 5 years of progressive experience using Agile/Scrum, Kanban, SAFe and JIRA.

JOB TITLE: Lead Solution Train Engineer

JOB LOCATION: 208 S. Akard St., Dallas, TX 75202

Responsibilities

Following the ATT Delivery Operating Model practices, will facilitate and guide the work of all Agile Release Trains and Suppliers in the Value Stream. Monitor the solution Kanban and solution health via its Metrics. Work with Release Train Engineers (RTEs) to coordinate delivery. Work closely with Solution Management and Solution Architecture helping to remove roadblocks and manage risks and dependencies. Assist the teams in delivering value, identify cross-team dependencies and economic decision making by rolling up team estimation to the solution level for visibility. Foster continuous improvements via Inspect and Adapt workshops and regularly review programs boards, feature/story burndowns and burn ups to understand PI progress at the Solution level. Utilize Program Management skills to properly communicate with stakeholders, elevate and remove impediments, help manage risk, and drive relentless improvement. Point of escalation for the Release Train Engineers. Establish the annual calendars for the Program Increments and sprints, facilitate release planning readiness including support of backlog management, event coordination and leadership of a Solution Train. Utilize Agile/Scrum, Kanban, SAFe and JIRA. Utilize ServiceNow, Burnup Graph and Burndown Graph. Utilize PowerBI and Tableau.

Qualifications

Requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in a related occupation utilizing Agile/Scrum, Kanban, SAFe and JIRA; utilizing ServiceNow, Burnup Graph and Burndown Graph; utilizing PowerBI and Tableau; and Program Management.

Compensation: Our Lead Solution Train Engineers earn between $179,375 - $215,800 yearly.
