Job summary

Deloitte is seeking a Lead Solution Architect for AI & Engineering in the United States. You will lead architecture for generative AI, cloud-native platforms, data and enterprise applications, guiding cross-functional teams to deliver scalable solutions using AWS services and AI technologies.

The role requires 8+ years in software/solution architecture, strong leadership, and the ability to travel up to 50%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in listed fields.
• 8+ years of experience in software engineering, application architecture, or solution architecture.
• 5+ years of experience leading engineering teams or workstreams for enterprise tech.
• Experience designing cloud-based solutions on AWS, including Bedrock, Lambda, SageMaker, and API Gateway.
• Experience architecting generative AI solutions using LLMs, prompt orchestration, and vector DBs.
• Ability to travel ~50%, and must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, or Mathematics
• 8+ years of experience in software engineering, application architecture, or solution architecture
• 5+ years of experience leading engineering teams, projects, or workstreams for enterprise technology implementations
• Experience designing and implementing cloud-based solutions using Amazon Web Services, including Amazon Bedrock, AWS Lambda, Amazon SageMaker, Amazon API Gateway, or container-based services
• Experience architecting generative artificial intelligence solutions using large language models, prompt orchestration, retrieval-augmented generation, vector databases, and enterprise integration patterns
• Ability to travel 50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

Preferred:

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, or Mathematics
• Experience delivering technology transformation programs in a consulting or professional services environment
• Experience implementing Anthropic Claude through Amazon Bedrock or application programming interface integration in enterprise environments
• Experience with model evaluation, observability, guardrails, and security controls for production artificial intelligence deployments
• AWS certification such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified AI Practitioner, or AWS Certified Machine Learning Engineer
• Experience presenting architecture recommendations, delivery status, and technical tradeoffs to executive stakeholders

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $141,200 to $278,300.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
