Job Description:
Essential Functions:
- 30% Leads preparation of enterprise domain architecture viewpoints and models depicting current, target, and interim states.
- Use current state viewpoints to identify and analyze pain points and opportunities (PPOs).
- Lead advanced modeling and analysis to meet the strategic needs of the organization with respect to system, information, functional/non-functional needs, performance, and security/regulatory requirements.
- Create and utilize architecture patterns and ensure alignment with IT strategies and reference architectures.
- Ensure target state alignment and integration across architecture domains.
- Ensure upstream alignment / traceability to business needs via business architecture and downstream alignment / traceability with solution building blocks.
- Lead the extension / enhancement of domain architecture strategies, standards, and guidelines.
- Identify and support development of reusable domain patterns.
- 20% Leads design, engineering, and implementation of assets for internal solutions to improve quality; collaborate through implementation. Lead peer reviews and represent the architecture domain in briefings to the Architecture Review Board.
- Oversee publishing and maintenance of viewpoints / work products in the architecture repository, ensuring organization, accuracy, and accessibility. Address stakeholder feedback received via project and non-project channels.
- Ensure solutions address regulatory and compliance issues.
- 15% Lead collaboration with business and technical teams, stakeholders, and partners to understand needs, maximize architecture impact, and address technical limitations.
- Lead the evaluation and selection of solutions/products aligning with IT / Domain strategies, standards, and guidelines.
- 10% Conduct research on emerging domain trends to assess relevance and fit for the organization.
- 10% Lead vendor evaluations and selection processes; oversee vendor evaluation for domain-specific tooling.
- Represent the architecture domain in drafting RFIs/RFPs and evaluating vendor proposals.
- 10% Lead development and enhancement of architecture domain methods and tools.
- Ensure alignment and integration of domain architecture processes with other domains and SDLC disciplines.
- Develop communication and education materials for stakeholders and SDLC partners.
- 5% Lead domain assessments for complex projects to evaluate architecture impacts, supporting planning, resource estimation, and strategy alignment.
- Provide input to project, product, and enterprise technology roadmaps.
- Report regularly on progress, issues, and opportunities within the architecture domain.
Qualifications:

- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Experience: 10 years in Architecture Domain; or in lieu of a degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree preferred.
- Ability to motivate and influence others to meet project objectives in a timely manner.
- Strong collaboration skills to develop high-quality solutions with stakeholders.
- Experience in coaching, delegating, and developing architects and engineers.
- Capability to manage cross-domain architecture solutions and issues.
- Expertise with domain-related architecture frameworks, methods, and tools.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Certification: Certified System Architect preferred upon hire.
