Job Description:

Essential Functions:

  1. 30% Leads preparation of enterprise domain architecture viewpoints and models depicting current, target, and interim states.
  2. Use current state viewpoints to identify and analyze pain points and opportunities (PPOs).
  3. Lead advanced modeling and analysis to meet the strategic needs of the organization with respect to system, information, functional/non-functional needs, performance, and security/regulatory requirements.
  4. Create and utilize architecture patterns and ensure alignment with IT strategies and reference architectures.
  5. Ensure target state alignment and integration across architecture domains.
  6. Ensure upstream alignment / traceability to business needs via business architecture and downstream alignment / traceability with solution building blocks.
  7. Lead the extension / enhancement of domain architecture strategies, standards, and guidelines.
  8. Identify and support development of reusable domain patterns.
  9. 20% Leads design, engineering, and implementation of assets for internal solutions to improve quality; collaborate through implementation. Lead peer reviews and represent the architecture domain in briefings to the Architecture Review Board.
  10. Oversee publishing and maintenance of viewpoints / work products in the architecture repository, ensuring organization, accuracy, and accessibility. Address stakeholder feedback received via project and non-project channels.
  11. Ensure solutions address regulatory and compliance issues.
  12. 15% Lead collaboration with business and technical teams, stakeholders, and partners to understand needs, maximize architecture impact, and address technical limitations.
  13. Lead the evaluation and selection of solutions/products aligning with IT / Domain strategies, standards, and guidelines.
  14. 10% Conduct research on emerging domain trends to assess relevance and fit for the organization.
  15. 10% Lead vendor evaluations and selection processes; oversee vendor evaluation for domain-specific tooling.
  16. Represent the architecture domain in drafting RFIs/RFPs and evaluating vendor proposals.
  17. 10% Lead development and enhancement of architecture domain methods and tools.
  18. Ensure alignment and integration of domain architecture processes with other domains and SDLC disciplines.
  19. Develop communication and education materials for stakeholders and SDLC partners.
  20. 5% Lead domain assessments for complex projects to evaluate architecture impacts, supporting planning, resource estimation, and strategy alignment.
  21. Provide input to project, product, and enterprise technology roadmaps.
  22. Report regularly on progress, issues, and opportunities within the architecture domain.
Qualifications:
  • Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
  • Knowledge, skill, and ability as required; reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Experience: 10 years in Architecture Domain; or in lieu of a degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced degree preferred.
  • Ability to motivate and influence others to meet project objectives in a timely manner.
  • Strong collaboration skills to develop high-quality solutions with stakeholders.
  • Experience in coaching, delegating, and developing architects and engineers.
  • Capability to manage cross-domain architecture solutions and issues.
  • Expertise with domain-related architecture frameworks, methods, and tools.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Certification: Certified System Architect preferred upon hire.
