Job summary

EDF Renewable Energy, Inc. is seeking a Technician 3 Renewable Energy Technician to perform field maintenance on wind, solar and storage assets. The role is on-site in Albert Lea, MN and begins with a five-week training program.

You will troubleshoot, inspect HV systems, and collaborate with engineering teams to optimize performance. Ideal candidates will have NEC/OSHA knowledge, SAP/CMMS familiarity, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years renewable energy experience; Technician 2 qualification or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license; ability to read, write and speak English clearly.
• Successful completion of the Senior Renewable Energy Technician Qualification Standard.
• Knowledge of NEC and OSHA; ability to read electrical/mechanical schematics.

Responsibilities

• Perform unsupervised corrective and preventative maintenance on utility-scale renewable energy assets and storage systems.
• Routine testing and troubleshooting of electrical systems and HV equipment with safety best practices.
• Recommission PV and energy storage systems; support upgrades and retrofits.
• Train and oversee Technician 1 and 2; sign off on competency.
• Complete daily logs, inventories, service reports, and participate in 24/7 on-call rotations.
