Job summary

Clearway Energy Group in Scottsdale, AZ seeks an Engineering Manager to lead Operations Engineering for solar PV and BESS assets. You will drive day-to-day technical support, reliability improvement, RCA, and performance optimization across the fleet.

You will mentor engineers, develop engineering standards, review project construction, and ensure safe, reliable, and cost-effective operation. This hybrid role combines technical leadership with hands-on project oversight.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years in renewable energy, storage, or power systems.
• Experience leading engineers and coordinating cross-functional workstreams.
• Ability to translate complex technical findings into practical standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead Operations Engineering support for Solar PV and BESS across the fleet.
• Direct reliability improvements and root cause analysis for Solar and BESS systems.
• Oversee testing and capacity/round-trip efficiency evaluations to meet offtake requirements.
• Develop engineering standards, procedures, and knowledge-management practices.
• Review drawings, manuals, and vendor documents to support safe and effective operations.
• Travel up to 40% as needed; mentor engineers and site teams.
