Job summary

RE Partners is seeking an experienced Lead Software Reliability Engineer to drive CI/CD, testing, and automated deployments. This hands-on role blends practical DevOps with SRE practices and emphasizes safe, rapid releases and strong observability across systems.

Qualifications

• Several years of experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD) using multiple test frameworks.
• Excellent understanding of automation testing approaches and AI-assisted outcomes.
• Proficiency in JVM languages and/or TypeScript.
• Strong coding skills for safe, critical systems.
• Experience with multiple CI/CD systems and secure coding practices.
• Docker and OpenShift expertise.
• Build automation experience with Gradle, Maven, and npm.
• Ansible and observability familiarity is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Engage and coach dev teams to improve safe, rapid release cadence.
• Wrap applications with tests, including smoke tests in deployment.
• Upgrade runtimes and containerize applications where feasible.
• Migrate to latest library versions and keep dependencies current.
• Automate deployments with Liquibase and Ansible.
• Introduce standard observability patterns and improve logging.
• Improve code review processes and secure coding practices.
• Support resilient cross-datacenter deployment patterns.
