Job summary

OpenText is seeking a Lead Software Developer for the Exstream Product Development group in Lexington, KY. The role focuses on performance, observability, and production reliability for cloud-based DSP services.

You will build telemetry into the delivery lifecycle, establish baselines, and drive early regression detection across CI/CD and pre-production environments. You will collaborate with development, QA, DevOps, documentation, product management, and support teams to improve system

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
• 5+ years of software engineering, including production or distributed systems.
• Proficiency in at least one major language (C/C++, Java, .NET, or Python).
• Experience with performance testing, profiling, and bottleneck diagnosis.
• Experience with observability: metrics, logs, tracing, dashboards, alerts.
• Understanding of site reliability engineering concepts.
• Experience integrating tests and quality checks into CI/CD.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of reliable, scalable DSP services.
• Embed performance engineering in delivery lifecycle.
• Implement observability with metrics, logs, traces, dashboards.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines for reliability in pre-prod and prod.
• Analyze latency, throughput, and production telemetry.
• Provide actionable data and remediation guidance.
• Define SLOs, error budgets, and production health indicators.
• Mentor engineers and set reliability standards.
• Collaborate with Dev, QA, Ops, and PM teams.
