Job summary

Truist is seeking a Lead Engineer to own and drive architectural strategy and end-to-end delivery of scalable software platforms. You will shape technology direction with executives, lead cross‑team initiatives, and elevate engineering practices across the domain.

You will mentor engineers, adopt AI-enabled engineering practices, and champion secure, resilient solutions that align with business goals while guiding roadmap and priorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, a related field, or equivalent education, training, and work-related experience.
• Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in software development.
• Deep knowledge of multiple programming languages, software architecture, and design principles.
• Deep understanding of software development lifecycle, testing, deployment, and security practices.

Responsibilities

• Implements software architecture for high impact initiatives and establishes technical plans.
• Promotes advanced engineering standards, practices, and governance within the domain.
• Shapes technology strategy with senior leadership, offering deep technical insight.
• Leads end-to-end design and implementation of scalable, secure software solutions.
