Job summary

Publix Super Markets, Inc. is seeking a Lead Software Engineer for the Store Item and Inventory Management Systems (SIIMS) team in Lakeland, FL. You will design, develop, and support web and mobile solutions across store operations and inventory management.

The role requires 7+ years in software engineering with .NET Core, C#, SQL, and microservices, plus AKS experience. Hybrid work model with onsite presence in Lakeland, FL is expected.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering delivering enterprise applications and leading cross-team initiatives.
• 5+ years with .NET Core and C# (including MVC) in production environments.
• 5+ years SQL experience with database design and ORM usage (EF/Dapper).
• 3+ years building microservices, RESTful APIs, and event-driven systems with resilience.
• 1+ year monitoring AKS workloads and collaborating with DevOps for infra issues.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and support of SIIMS web and mobile platforms.
• Partner with Product Owners to drive scalable, enterprise-grade solutions and backlog priorities.
• Mentor engineers, conduct code reviews, and promote best practices across teams.
• Ensure secure, compliant software delivery with Azure-based deployments and monitoring.
