Job summary

Lennar is seeking a talented Lead Software Engineer to design, develop, test, and deploy Plan Intelligence—an internal analytics platform used by division and product teams. You will own features end-to-end on a server-rendered React/TypeScript frontend and a Python FastAPI service backed by PostgreSQL on AWS, collaborating with data engineering on pipelines and contracts.

The role requires 5+ years in web tech, strong leadership, and expertise in JavaScript, React, Python, and cloud/AWS.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in CS or related field plus relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS or related field with 7+ years of web stack experience.
• Growth mindset and willingness to learn new skills and frameworks.
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
• Proven track record for managing a team of developers to achieve goals.
• Proven leadership in Agile environments with strong communication and mentoring skills.
• Strong ability to communicate complex tech information to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand functional and non-functional requirements.
• Lead and mentor software engineers to deliver high quality code.
• Plan work estimation and forecasting across the team.
• Adhere to architecture, design, security, and best practices.
• Design, implement, and test features end-to-end across front-end and back-end.
• Partner with data engineering on data pipelines and contracts.
• Build interactive mapping, charting, and export experiences for large datasets.
• Extend AI features on AWS Bedrock with quality and cost controls.
• Support the platform across development, UAT, and production environments.
