JPMorgan Chase in Jersey City is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to design, build, and optimize payments platforms. You will lead a delivery team, drive DevOps practices, and collaborate across teams to ship features with reliability and security.

The role requires 8+ years in software development, strong Java, Spring, and cloud/containers experience, plus a hands-on, end-to-end delivery mindset in a fast-paced financial tech environment.

Qualifikationen

• Formal training or certification in Software Engineering and 5+ years applied experience.
• 8+ years of software development experience.
• Clarify and defend architecture and design decisions and ensure they are practical and feasible to implement by the team.
• Partner with technology peers and product owners and lead collaborative efforts to ensure a successful end-to-end project delivery.
• Ability to translate functional requirements to technical design and requirements.
• Perform code reviews, develop and review test scenarios in collaboration with QA.
• Strong experience in Core Java, Object Oriented, RDBMS (Oracle), SQL, Spring, ORM (JPA/Hibernate) and Unix Scripts.
• Experience in web development and modern JS Frameworks (JavaScript, HTML 5, Ember, ReactJS or Angular).
• Experience in architecting and building secure, highly available, resilient, scalable systems leveraging clustering and load balancing of web/app servers and messaging systems (Kafka / MQ Series).
• Strong understanding of Agile methodology and ceremonies leveraging SDLC tools to improve development and testing efficiency (JIRA, Jenkins, GIT, JUnit, Selenium, Lint).

• Experience using NoSQL / BigData Stores (Cassandra, Elastic Search, Cloudera Stack or H-Base) is a plus
• Experience in streaming/aggregation frameworks (Storm, Spark) is a plus
• Banking and payments domain background is a plus
• Prefer hands-on end-to-end project delivery responsibilities
• Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and monitoring using modern DevOps tools and practices
• Knowledge of container-based development, orchestration, microservices frameworks, and tools (Docker, Kubernetes, Spring Boot, Swagger) is a plus
