Job summary

JPMorgan Chase is seeking a Lead Software Engineer - iOS to join the BUSINESS ACCESS & TOOLS group in New York. You will be a core technical contributor, shaping mobile product development, security, and reliability across our trusted financial platforms.

You will lead design reviews, mentor engineers, and drive CI/CD practices while delivering high-quality Swift and Objective-C code. This role emphasizes performance, scalability, and secure mobile solutions.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
• Hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Advanced in programming languages including Swift, Objective-C, API, AWS; Xcode performance analysis.
• Experience with testing for mobile devices and GIT source control management.
• Experience with architecture and system design.
• Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods.
• Proficient in the Software Development Life Cycle and agile practices (CI/CD, security).
• Knowledge of financial services IT systems and cloud-native experiences.

As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience

• Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability

• Advanced in one or more programming language(s) including Swift, Objective C, API, AWS and Xcode performance analysis

• Experience with testing for mobile phones, GIT source control management

• Experience with architecture and system design

• Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods

• Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle

• Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security

• Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)

• In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems

• Practical cloud native experience

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Work with mobile application team to setup monitoring and resolve production issues/crashes on mobile devices. Assist with troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and ensure that software bugs are corrected in an expedient manner. Communicate resolution & next steps.

• Experience with mobile testing in areas like unit test, automation test, testing/debugging using emulator and device including experience with mobile application profiling for memory analysis, thread analysis and heap analysis on devices, emulators and simulators.

• Can work with large codebases, managing shared resources and libraries and involvement in the ongoing development one or more mobile applications available in Apple's App Store or Google's Play Store.

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines.

• Knowledge of RESTful APIs, push notifications, and cloud messaging.

• Strong understanding of Apple's Human Interface Guidelines.
