Job summary

1872 Consulting is seeking a Lead Software Engineer for a global law firm's in-house engineering team. You will act as the technical lead for a full-stack squad, steering architecture while continuing to contribute production code.

You will partner with product, design and business stakeholders to scope and deliver scalable features, review code, and coach engineers. This role focuses on .NET, React, Next.js, TypeScript and Azure in a hybrid, mainly onsite setting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of full-stack software development.
• Deep experience with .NET, React, Next.js, TypeScript and Azure.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Authorization to work in the US without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Build and evolve scalable full-stack applications: .NET services and a TypeScript, React and Next.js front end, all on Azure.
• Drive architectural decisions and engineering practices across the team.
• Review code for quality, security and performance.
• Coach and develop junior and mid-level engineers.
• Collaborate with product, design and business stakeholders to scope and deliver features.
• Identify and fix bottlenecks in queries, rendering and API calls.
• Ensure security across authentication, authorization and data protection.
• Partner with DevOps on CI/CD pipelines and automated Azure deployments.
