Job summary

Sidley Austin LLP is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to architect, build, and maintain scalable full‑stack applications using React, .NET, Next.js and Azure. This hands‑on leader guides delivery, conducts code reviews, and ensures high‑quality software with strong security and performance.

You will mentor junior engineers, collaborate with product and design teams, implement CI/CD pipelines on Azure, and stay current with cloud-native best practices to drive rapid, reliable delivery.

Qualifications

• Required: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent).
• 5+ years in full-stack software development with React/.NET/Next.js/TypeScript.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, microservices, and scalable architectures.
• Hands-on in SQL-based or NoSQL databases and Git; Agile experience.

Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack apps using .NET/TypeScript/React/Next.js on Azure.
• Lead technical decisions, drive best practices, and review code for quality and security.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and guide design and implementation decisions.
• Collaborate with product managers and designers to deliver features end-to-end.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and automate deployments on Azure, monitor performance.
