SpaceX is seeking a Lead Software Engineer in Finance to own and drive critical financial applications that power our operations across launches, manufacturing, Starlink, AI, and chip design.

You will lead a team of engineers, shape the system roadmap, and collaborate with finance stakeholders and partner tech teams to ensure data integrity and scalable, secure software as SpaceX grows rapidly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math, or science; or 6+ years of software experience.
• 1+ years of object-oriented programming experience.
• 1+ years of leading software teams or projects.
• Strong collaboration with stakeholders and cross-functional partners.
• Willingness to work extended hours and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Directly manage a team of software engineers.
• Own all aspects, including prioritization, implementation, and delivery, of a system roadmap.
• Provide strong technical leadership with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Manage and track multiple priorities while aligning to program goals.
• Develop highly reliable and available software systems.
• Collaborate with department and company leaders to ensure SpaceX success.
