Job summary

Tyler Technologies in Lakewood, Colorado seeks a Lead Software Engineer to lead development, maintenance and enhancement of ERP products. You will mentor junior engineers, own architecture decisions, and work hands-on in the codebase.

You will collaborate with partners across teams, design scalable systems using .NET, C#, and MySQL, and implement RESTful APIs and microservices to ensure performance, security and quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with leadership experience.
• 5+ years of professional software development.
• Proficient in C# and .NET 10+; strong fundamentals.
• Experience with MySQL/SQL and relational design.
• RESTful API design and integration.
• Comfortable working in Linux; strong with Git and Docker.
• Experience with microservices.
• Demonstrated ability to lead complex technical projects, influence decisions, and mentor engineers.
• Strong ownership, prioritization and ability to deliver to deadlines.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Build applications and infrastructure for the ERP Pro Tyler product suite.
• Full Stack Development: develop and maintain web apps using .NET framework (front-end and back-end).
• Back-End: develop APIs and databases using C#, ASP.NET, MVC and MySQL.
• System Integration: integrate third-party APIs and services.
• Infrastructure & Architecture: own large system design decisions.
• Code Quality: write clean, well-structured code and set standards for the team.
• Testing and Debugging: perform unit testing and troubleshooting.
• Performance Optimization: resolve bottlenecks for speed and scalability.
• Security: implement security best practices and data protection.
• Collaboration: work with designers, product managers and QA engineers.
• Be the technical voice for the team and product.
