Honeywell Aerospace in Aguadilla, PR is seeking a Lead Software Engineer for Display Services (Finance) to design, develop and integrate complex software for the Anthem Next Generation Avionics project. You will work with cross-functional teams to define requirements and ensure certification compliance.

Requires a Bachelor's in software engineering, 10+ years in software, strong C++ and OO, experience with Agile/Scrum, embedded systems and DO-178C.

Lead Software Engineer - Display Services (Finance)

Are you ready to take your engineering career to the next level? Join our dynamic Display Services team at Honeywell Aerospace, where we design, develop, and integrate highly complex systems for our Anthem Next Generation Avionics project. We are on the lookout for an experienced Software Engineer who is passionate about creating innovative software solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers.

In this role, you will work in a fast-paced and exciting development environment with a team of experienced software and systems engineers to satisfy technical requirements, support functional load deliveries and ensure compliance with certification requirements.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for development, systems integration, and verification of core Display applications to be hosted on the Next Generation Avionics Platform
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define software requirements and specifications.
• Implement software solutions that meet performance, security, and scalability requirements.
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
• Testing and Integration on test benches in labs.
• Staying up to date with industry trends and best practices in software development.

You Must Have

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline Software Engineering degree or related experience
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in software development.
• Strong C++ or Object-oriented programming skills.
• Experience with software development methodologies such as Agile or Scrum.
• Strong software architecture and design development skills.

• Creating test cases for software based upon use cases derived from the system and software requirements
• Knowledge of software configuration management and change management practices
• Familiarity with JIRA, Bitbucket, DOORS NG, and Confluence
