We are responsible for the end-to-end digital and physical Guest experience for all technology & digital-led initiatives across various lines of business as well as other initiatives including MyDisneyExperience and Hey, Disney!

This role is within the Disney Vacation Club organization, working closely with Business, Sales & Marketing, and Member Services Technology groups.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement integrations with custom, SaaS vendor products, cloud services, and applications.
  • Lead large development programs and teams from ideation through implementation.
  • Communicate effectively with technical and business stakeholders.
  • Mentor and oversee project teams, including on-shore and off-shore resources.
  • Ensure delivery of high-quality, secure, and scalable technology solutions.
  • Conduct code reviews and establish best practices.
  • Collaborate with leaders to strategize delivery approaches and manage dependencies.
  • Participate in designing new features and platform enhancements.
  • Work independently to meet timelines, practicing agile methodologies.
  • Maintain documentation, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Evaluate and incorporate emerging technologies to meet business needs.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 7 years of software engineering experience.
  • Proficiency in full-stack Java development at an expert level.
  • Deep knowledge of microservices, RESTful APIs, and object-oriented design principles.
  • Experience with event-driven architectures like Kafka, Pub-Sub, etc.
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Splunk, AppDynamics, New Relic.
  • Strong focus on performance optimization and scalable system design.
  • Experience with cloud solutions (AWS, Google Cloud) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Knowledge of JavaScript frameworks like Angular and Node.js is a plus.
  • Educational background in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
