Job summary

Sedaro is hiring a Lead DevOps Engineer to build a culture of operational excellence in Arlington, VA. You will integrate CI/CD, security, and observability tools for a Kubernetes-based multi-cloud environment and rally teammates toward best practices.

You will optimize production infra, design observability with actionable alerts and SLOs, and drive automation via IaC and CI/CD while promoting Lean, continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure and distributed systems architecture.
• Experience implementing CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and observability practices.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation.

Overview

Sedaro is hiring a Lead DevOps Engineer to build our culture of operational excellence. In this role, you will integrate CI/CD, security, and observability tools and automation for our Kubernetes-based multi-cloud environment, as well as rallying your teammates toward best practices.

• Team: DevSecOps Enablement, reporting to the Director of Engineering

• Location: In person in Arlington, VA

• U.S. Citizen or permanent resident status required

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience

• 3+ years of professional experience in software engineering

• Experience with cloud infrastructure and distributed systems architecture

• Experience implementing CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and observability practices

• Proficiency in scripting and automation

Additional desirable experience:

• Track record implementing security controls and vulnerability management

• Experience leading incident response and root cause analysis

• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and Terraform CDKTF

• Experience with AWS and/or Azure

• Experience with IL4/5+ and/or /or
