Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Senior Cloud Network Architect to drive the evolution of our cloud network platform and lead architectural decisions across multi-account, multi-region, multi-geo, and hybrid-cloud topologies.

You will own the operational health of the network, coordinate cross-team efforts, and guide complex incident response and postmortems while mentoring senior engineers and aligning with strategic goals.

Qualifications

CCIE, CCNP or equivalent experience.
Comfortable designing, building, implementing, maintaining and troubleshooting complex, large-scale networking infrastructures.
Solid hands-on experience in infrastructure automation and cloud computing, with AWS preferred.
Depth in AWS networking services: Transit Gateway, VPC design, Direct Connect, PrivateLink, Route 53, NAT/egress patterns, network firewalls, or similar technologies.
Deep experience planning, deploying and troubleshooting network solutions at scale.
Experience with IP address management, BGP and dynamic routing, firewalls, load balancers, routers and switches, and hybrid connectivity.
Strong coding skills in Python, .NET, Java, Go, or similar.
Experience leading incident response and root cause analysis for high-impact, ambiguous failures across team boundaries.

Responsibilities

Set and evolve the technical direction of the cloud network platform.
Align the platform with canonical approaches and contribute to the broader technical community.
Lead high-level and low-level design for connectivity across multi-account, multi-region, multi-geo and hybrid-cloud topologies.
Make architectural decisions in multi-component, multi-team designs.
Manage complex network projects and processes end to end.
Coordinate across subjects and stakeholders and escalation for managerial support in a timely manner.
Reduce long-term complexity through simplification, consolidation, deprecation and paved roads.
Balance scalability, maintainability and cost, including human and AI interaction with the platform.
Own operational health of the network platform.
Lead complex incident response, diagnosis, coordination and resolution.
Drive complex postmortems and own resulting short- and long-term technical debt strategy.
Promote safe change through feature flags, gradual rollout, monitoring and fast rollback.
Drive simplification and cost optimization across the topology.
Set and enforce quality standards for automation and infrastructure code, including testing, code review and reusable modules.
Define platform observability, monitoring, controls and SLAs.

Document decisions so knowledge travels across teams

Requirements

CCIE, CCNP or equivalent experience

English proficiency sufficient to read, write and lead discussions across time zones and language boundaries
Availability to work onsite two to three days per week
Legal authorization to work in the country where the position is located
