Northrop Grumman Corp. is seeking a Software Engineer Lead – Level 3 or 4 to head a small team on advanced missile tracking and interception software in Boulder, CO.

The role emphasizes hands-on C++ development, architecture and CI/CD, with opportunities to shape technical direction and mentoring responsibilities. The position requires a current Secret clearance and a strong background in cloud technologies, Linux, and modern development tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM field from an accredited university; 5+ years of related work experience, or Master’s with 3+ years, or PhD with 1+ year.
• Active in-scope U.S. Government Secret security clearance required at start and ability to obtain Top Secret.
• Experience with C++ development, CI/CD, cloud technologies, and multi-disciplinary software problems.
• Willingness to adapt to new technologies and contribute to full-stack engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead software design, development, documentation, testing, deployment and debugging of applications.
• Collaborate with Chief Architect, Program Management and team peers to set technical vision.
• Mentor 2–4 software team members and guide technical direction.
