Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking a Lead Software Engineer with proficiency in Python and Java to guide agile teams within Consumer and Community Banking’s Operations Technology Voice.

You’ll craft secure, scalable technology products and mentor engineers while advancing AI-assisted development practices across the SDLC. You will influence design decisions and partner with stakeholders to deliver trusted solutions.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts.
• 5+ years of applied software engineering experience.
• Experience delivering system design and production code.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language.
• Experience using enterprise AI-assisted development tools for coding, reviews, and testing.
• Strong understanding of responsible AI use and security practices.
• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
• Experience mentoring mid- and senior engineers.
• Ability to communicate with engineers and non-technical senior stakeholders.
• Knowledge of secure engineering, data privacy, and controls.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance to business and technical teams, contractors, and vendors.
• Develop secure production code and review others' code.
• Drive AI-assisted engineering practices across teams with measurable validation standards.
• Apply SDLC tooling knowledge to improve automation value at scale.
• Influence product design and operational processes and act as SME.
• Promote firmwide frameworks, tools, and practices in the SDLC.
