Job summary

JPMorganChase seeks a Lead Software Engineer to advance secure, scalable tech across the CTO org. You will drive AI-assisted development practices, lead security-aware engineering, and guide cross-functional teams in designing robust solutions within the financial services domain.

You will collaborate with stakeholders, perform POCs, and ensure production readiness with strong governance, CI/CD, and incident response focus throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience in Privilege access management domain.
• Experience delivering system design, application development, testing and operational stability across AWS/Azure/GCP.
• Hands-on experience with coding in scripting languages (PowerShell/JavaScript/Python).
• Experience leading effective use of AI-assisted development tools with validation for correctness and security.
• Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows and secure data handling.
• Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle.
• Advanced understanding of Agile practices, CI/CD, resilience, and security.
• In-depth knowledge of financial services IT systems and practical cloud-native experience.
• Security domain experience including infrastructure/network/application security; Kubernetes expertise.
• DevOps exposure with Jenkins/JIRA/Maven/Git/Bitbucket; REST/Web services, XML/JSON; LDAP/AD/ADFS.

Responsibilities

• Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and troubleshooting with non-routine approaches.
• Develops secure, high-quality production code and reviews code written by others.
• Drives enterprise AI-assisted engineering practices for code quality, speed, and operational outcomes.
• Applies SDLC tooling and automation to improve value delivery.
• Identifies opportunities to automate remediation and improve stability of software systems.
• Leads evaluation sessions with vendors and internal teams on architectural designs and applicability.
• Designs and develops Privilege Access Management solutions adhering to governance standards.
• Deploys security solutions and provides L3 support; offers technical leadership to vendors and end-users.
• Partners with stakeholders for needs-based solutions; performs POC and tests new functionality.
• Writes technical docs for production support and acts as POC for new implementations.
• Analyzes business requirements and collaborates with cross-functional teams through Day 2 support.
