Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Lead Software Engineer within the Commercial & Investment Bank - Marketing Platform team in Chicago. You will be a core technical contributor, driving architecture, secure production code, and AI-assisted development practices across multiple business functions.

You will collaborate with senior stakeholders to translate strategic objectives into concrete roadmaps and deliver trusted technology products.

Qualifications

• 5+ years applied experience in software engineering
• Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing and operational stability
• Advanced in one or more programming languages (Java, C#, .Net)
• Experience leading AI-assisted development tool adoption and validation of outputs for correctness, performance and security
• Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows and secure handling of data
• Experience designing enterprise-wide automation and workflows
• Proficiency in SDLC and agile methods (CI/CD, resiliency, security)
• Experience with cloud-native environments (AWS or Azure)

Responsibilities

• Executes creative software solutions and design, developing and debugging production code
• Delivers secure, high-quality production code and reviews peers' code
• Identifies opportunities to automate remediation for operational stability of applications
• Leads architecture evaluations with vendors and internal teams to inform design decisions
• Drives communities of practice to promote new technologies and patterns
• Contributes to a diverse, inclusive team culture and collaboration
• Promotes enterprise AI-assisted engineering practices (code review, test strategy, incident analysis)
• Improves value through SDLC tooling and automation capabilities
• Partners with stakeholders to translate objectives into executable roadmaps and plans
