Job summary

GIGATEC Engineering in New York, NY is seeking a software engineering professional to own Linux, Kubernetes, and DevOps responsibilities while designing and sustaining Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions.

You will automate Linux-based builds and deployments, reduce manual effort, and improve reliability, leveraging CI/CD tooling and containers such as Docker and containerd. A Top Secret clearance is required, and polygraph completion may be expected.

Qualifications

• Proficient with Linux CLI and Linux tools.
• Bash/Python scripting to automate provisioning of HPC systems.
• Release management best practices including versioning, automation, risk management, and continuous improvement.
• Managing software builds and releases with one or more programming languages.
• CI/CD pipelines and related practices with tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, Travis CI, CircleCI.
• IaC (Infrastructure as Code) principles and automation tools including Ansible.
• Dev/Sec/Ops processes and related FOSS toolchains.
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Containerd.
• Experience with Git source control system.
• Familiarity with Atlassian Tool Suite (JIRA, Confluence).
• Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.

Responsibilities
