We are looking for a Lead Software Engineer to join our athenaCollector team.



InathenaCollectorwe build technology solutions that automate (RCM) Revenue Cycle Management. This Collector team is implementing the underlying medical back-office processes to automate and integrate the unique claims cycle requirements.



The successful candidate will have proven experience in building teams and attracting talent, developing career paths, and fostering a culture of innovation in similar high performing teams.



The Team: The athenaCollector product builds a critical part of the athenaOne platform, which helps our medical provider clients manage their business and revenue cycle (RCM), automating claims and billing for well over $200 billion in client revenue.



Job Responsibilities

  • Lead, design and develop code on agile teams of Engineers, Scrum Master, Product Owners, and Experience Designers
  • Collaborate with and /or mentor and advise team members to promote productivity and effectiveness, sharing business and technical insights with the broader engineering and product organization.
  • We are seeking a highly skilled professional with a strong background in data domains, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, and UDS (Uniform Data Services). This individual should be comfortable working with large data sets and possess the technical expertise necessary to manage and optimize data workflows effectively

Typical Qualifications

  • Ideally 6+ years of software engineering experience with significant product development expertise
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • Proficient in at least one modern programming language and relational databases; experience with modern UI frameworks preferred
  • Highly skilled professional with a strong background in data domains, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, and UDS (Uniform Data Services)
  • Comfortable working with large datasets and possessing the technical expertise necessary to manage and optimize data workflows
  • Hands on experience in AWS ecosystem, ReactJS, TypeScript, JSX are a huge plus
  • Ability to lead teams/technical projects including technical design, scoping and estimation
  • We work in an Agile environment; experience with Agile and CI/CD concepts preferred
  • Knowledge of Unix/Linux, SQL, RESTful API, Spring Boot and other technologies is helpful
