Responsibilities

• Design and develop technical solutions that meet user needs regarding functionality, performance, scalability, and reliability
• Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of FX trading platforms, including pricing engines and settlement workflows
• Drive best practices and guidelines implementation within the department
• Conduct impact analysis on proposed changes to existing architecture and technology solutions
• Supervise release processes, with potential after-hours or weekend work required

Qualifications

• Bachelor\'s Degree and 6 years of experience in software application development and maintenance, or High School Diploma/GED and 10 years of experience in the same field
• Strong proficiency and hands-on experience in the design and development of distributed systems
• Development experience with Java/J2EE, Restful Web Services, Node, and React
• Working knowledge of AWS Cloud Infrastructure, Docker, and OpenShift
• Experience working on Agile projects with complete knowledge of day-to-day Agile routines

Preferred Qualifications

• Current contractor or contingent worker for the employer
• Technical leadership experience for medium to large-sized enterprise projects
• Familiarity with public API development and API Gateway tools like Apigee
• Experience with FX or Payments technology solutions
• Banking/Payments industry knowledge and experience in large modernization efforts
