Job summary

Amazon FSx for Windows in Boston seeks a Software Development Manager to lead a team building a fully managed Windows filesystem service at scale. You will drive architectural decisions, mentor engineers, and collaborate with product managers to deliver high-quality features that meet customer needs.

You will hire, mentor, and promote engineers, work with teams across AWS, and define the technical roadmap for FSx.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of engineering team management experience.
• 7+ years working directly within engineering teams.
• 3+ years designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems.
• 8+ years leading the definition and development of multi tier web services.
• Experience partnering with product or program management teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of engineers in delivery and operational excellence of an AWS service.
• Hire, mentor, and promote engineers.
• Work with teams across AWS to build new solutions.
• Build mechanisms to drive the highest standards within your team.
• Work with product managers, principal engineers, and senior leadership to define the technical roadmap and strategy for FSx
