Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an accredited school of Social Work or Master’s Degree from an accredited psychology program.
• Three years acute care hospital experience.
• Leadership experience preferred.
• Licensed as a Masters prepared social worker or marriage and family therapist (LCSW or LMFT).
• BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership to other social workers in the department.
• Assists with psychosocial assessments, brief treatment/counseling, crisis interventions, and discharge planning.
• Coordinates with interdisciplinary team to meet psychosocial needs of patients.
• Develops and maintains department policies and procedures; supports with administrative projects.
• Maintains documentation and statistical records; ensures readiness for regulatory requirements.
